Make a complaint
Have your details and any supporting attachments ready, then continue to the complaint form.
Please be aware
The Board cannot assist with complaints about billing, contract, or council documents. We also cannot arrange for remedial work to take place or provide compensation. We will be able to assess concerns about workmanship, licensing, and supervision of plumbing, gasfitting, or drainlaying work.
The maximum file size for uploading documentation to support a complaint is 4MB.
When making a complaint, you agree:
To be named as the complainant
If you wish to make a complaint you need to be prepared to be identified as the complainant in correspondence with the person or entity complained about (we do not accept anonymous complaints).
To sign a statement outlining your complaint
By signing the statement, you must be prepared to attend a Board Disciplinary hearing or a District Court prosecution if required.
What is helpful to speed up my complaint?
Prepare any information you have to support your complaint - this could include:
- Photos
- Invoices
- Quotes
- Compliance documentation
- Remedial reports
As much proof as possible is really helpful.
Types of photos we'd like to see
To assess your complaint, a range of photos is really helpful for us.
Tips for good photos:
- Context is key, include photos of the area surrounding the issue
- Including a measurement in the photo i.e. with tape or ruler
- Clear, well lit photos
- As many angles of the issue as possible
